Forget about complex regex or static functions. We’ve introduced interactive **Event Rules**: a flexible way to create and manage conditions tailored to your needs.

## What's New

**Event Rules** introduce an interactive, no-code way to define the exact conditions your events must meet:** ‍**‍

\- **Create new rules or edit existing ones** to define exactly what “passing” looks like for your events.

\- Validate event values, parameter formats, and business-specific conditions.

\- Receive warnings when real user data stops matching your defined rules.

### Why it matters

Analytics implementations evolve constantly. Parameter structures change, new business logic is introduced, and data quality requirements differ across teams. Moreover, hard-coded validations—or relying solely on specifications—often fall short when real user data starts drifting from expectations. That’s why **having interactive, no-code Event Rules** let you adapt validations on the fly, ensuring your tracking stays accurate and aligned with your business needs.

### How it helps

- Gives you **full control** over what “correct tracking” means for your business.
- Helps detect **data drift**, unexpected values, or business-logic breaks early.
- Reduces dependency on engineering or Trackingplan's Customer Support to maintain validation logic (though you can always count on us!)
- Allows teams to adapt rules quickly when rolling out new features, experiments, or campaign structures.
