# New properties as optional, with any type

A new option in Settings, Warnings: new properties start as optional and accept any type, instead of Trackingplan learning both from traffic.

Settings, **Warnings** has a new option, ** Set new properties as optional with any type**. It is off until you turn it on.

When it is on, a newly discovered property starts as optional and accepts any type, instead of Trackingplan learning from traffic whether it is required and what type it is. Properties you have edited, and the recommended specs Trackingplan applies for some destinations, keep their settings.

**Who it is for:** plans where new properties appear often and the team prefers to set each one’s rules by hand, without warnings in the meantime.

**Where:** Settings, Warnings. More on how the schema is learned: [Schema management](/landings/schema).

    ### Custom MCP connectors

Every plan now has Custom connectors in Settings, under Connect: an admin adds an MCP server, such as Notion, Linear or your own, and everyone in the plan uses that connection when Trackingplan answers questions about the plan.
