# Star and unstar events from the chat

Ask Trackingplan to star or unstar events, custom events and custom metrics from the chat. Nothing changes until you approve it.

You can now ask Trackingplan to star or unstar events, custom events and custom metrics. It is the same action as on the Events and Custom Metrics pages.

Nothing changes until you approve it. The star then shows on the open plan without a reload.

**Who it is for:** teams that keep their most important events starred and want to do it while they talk about them.

**Where:** any chat in the panel. Starred items are listed in [Starred Items](/docs/starred-items).
