# Trackingplan suggests spec edits when it finds a problem

While it investigates a warning, an event, a destination or the checkout, Trackingplan can suggest a change to the spec, and makes it only when you ask.

When you look into a warning, an event, a property, a destination, a tracking audit, a root-cause question or the cart through checkout, Trackingplan can now suggest a change to the tracking spec. It makes the change only when you ask for it.

-   Before suggesting a looser spec, it asks whether a new value is intended.
-   It can suggest a missing checkout step as a draft event.
-   It can suggest deleting up to five events with no hits in the last 30 days. Starred events, events you named, custom events and metrics, platform metrics and consent events are left out.

After you save a property edit, a suggestion checks the new hits once, about an hour later.

**Who it is for:** anyone who investigates a warning and wants to close it in the same conversation.
