How long that takes depends on the traffic of your site or app. Once it is installed, Trackingplan starts discovering and documenting all the traffic you send to [all your analytics, product, and marketing stack](/integrations). You can sit back while it builds your dashboard. Here is what happens along the way. > Prefer to watch? This video explains what happens after you install Trackingplan. ## Post-Install Essentials: A Guide to Next Steps To show you what happens after the install, Trackingplan labels the specs of your properties with three states. They tell you which specs are being enforced and where each type and presence spec comes from. ### 1\. Warm-Up Phase During the warm-up, Trackingplan watches how the traffic of your events behaves and analyzes the specs of each of your properties. It is a learning phase. Trackingplan collects what it needs to understand what each piece of data means, find patterns and spot anomalies. ![](/images/spr-5392e151-1.png) During this phase, Trackingplan raises no [traffic warnings](/docs/warning-and-updates), so you don't get false alarms while it learns your data and traffic patterns. Some warnings don't need to wait, though. Trackingplan also checks the event and property specs your analytics and marketing tools recommend, and raises [Recommended Specs Warnings](/docs/warning-and-updates) when your sites or apps don't meet them. Learnt by Trackingplan ** After the warm-up, Trackingplan works out the data type and presence it expects for each of your properties, based on what it has seen. ![](/images/spr-8bbb9f48-2.png) ### 3\. Set by User: Getting into Action Now it is your turn. Adjust the type and presence constraints Trackingplan inferred as often as you need: click the dropdown and pick the constraint that fits your requirements.
