Happy tracking! Transcript Hi, in this video I'm going to show you how the Trackingplan omnibug extension can help you manually debug all the issues happening in your analytic setup. We'll start with a quick demo to show you how it works in action and then I'll walk you through the installation steps so you can start using it right away. If you're using Trackingplan, your events follow specifications. These can be automatically detected by Trackingplan or manually defined by you in your Trackingplan dashboard. For this quick demo, I'm going to change one of the parameters in a page view event. In this case, I'll mark session start as a required property. Now, imagine you're browsing your website which is connected to Trackingplan and you want to check in real time if the data you're sending to your analytics tools meets your specifications or if something's wrong. This is where the Trackingplan Omnibug extension comes into play. Once installed, you'll see a new tab in your browser's developer tools. This tab logs all your network requests. Let's reload the page. As you can see, the extension automatically detects all the traffic on your site, including analytics requests and all the associated parameters, just like you would expect if you've used Omnibug before. But here's where it goes further. For the page view event, it immediately flags that the session start property is missing. And that's because we just marked it as required in our Trackingplan dashboard. So now the extension is telling us right inside the browser that the session start property is missing in this page view event. This works for all your event specifications and helps you debug your entire setup directly while navigating your site. Now let's go over how to install the Trackingplan Omnibug extension. We're going to use Google Chrome for this example, but the process is very similar in Firefox and other Chromiumbased browsers. Since the extension is a custom fork of Omnibug, it's not available in the official browser stores, so we'll need to install it manually. First, go to the GitHub repository. If you scroll down, you'll find the installation guide with instructions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. The first step is to download the extension files as a zip. Once downloaded, unzip the folder. Now open Chrome and go to Chrome extensions. Make sure developer mode is enabled in the top right corner. Click load unpacked and then select the folder you just unzipped. And that's it. The extension is now installed. To confirm it's working, just open any website where Trackingplan is installed.
