Traffic drops and peaks are checked against the calendar

When you ask why traffic dropped or peaked, Trackingplan checks public holidays, shopping events and the weekday in the countries your visitors come from.

Released October 19, 2026 · 1 min read

When you ask why traffic dropped or peaked, Trackingplan now checks the calendar for the countries most of the plan's visitors come from.

It looks at national public holidays, observances the calendar includes (for example Mother's Day in the United States), shopping events such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and the weekday, so weekends are included.

Someone asking a question on a publicly shared report gets the same check.

Who it is for: anyone who has spent a morning chasing a broken tag that turned out to be a bank holiday.

Where: ask about a drop or a peak in any chat, or in a shared report. More on asking questions: Threads.
