Installing Trackingplan with Adobe Experience Platform

Install Trackingplan on a website that sends data with the Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK (Alloy), with the code ready to copy from your install page.

If your site sends its data with the Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK (Alloy), install Trackingplan with the Adobe Experience Platform tab (AEP in the previous panel) of your install page, https://app.trackingplan.com/plans/YOUR_TP_ID/install. It gives you the code ready to copy, so you don't have to adapt the generic snippet.

Use the AEP snippet

The Adobe Experience Platform tab gives the same snippet as the Snippet tab with one more option, additionalIntercept: ["alloy"], so Trackingplan also captures what the Web SDK sends:

Trackingplan.init("YOUR_TP_ID", {
  environment: "PRODUCTION",
  tracksEndPoint: "https://eu-tracks.trackingplan.com/v1/",
  usePrivacy: true,
  additionalIntercept: ["alloy"],
  // tags: { "app_version": "...", } // See docs to know about optional tags.
});
  1. Copy it with Copy Snippet on that tab: the values come filled in for your plan, and the full script is longer than this extract. Or use Share instructions to send it to whoever installs it.
  2. Paste it at the top of the <head> of all your pages, before any other analytics snippets or tracking codes.

The init call takes the same options as the other web methods: see Advanced options. If your site sets a Content Security Policy, see Content Security Policies.

Check the installation

Further down your install page, Checking your implementation status shows Data connected once Trackingplan receives your data.

All done. Now check that data collection is working. To see what the SDK does once it is on your page, read How it Works.
