What is Trackingplan Omnibug Extension?

This version is currently a playground for exploring the integration between Omnibug and Trackingplan functionality. It validates every request against your specifications defined in Trackingplan.

Trackingplan is a data governance platform that automatically discovers, documents, and monitors your digital analytics implementations. It helps teams ensure data quality, prevent tracking issues, and maintain compliance across all marketing and analytics tools.

How to get it

As we’ve mentioned, since the extension is a custom fork of Omnibug, it’s not available in the official browser stores. That’s why you’ll need to install it manually.

Chrome: Download Chrome Extension (.zip)
Edge: Download Edge Extension (.zip)
Firefox: Download Firefox Extension (.zip)

Installation Instructions

For Chrome:

Download the Chrome extension file from the link above
Extract the .zip file to a folder on your computer
Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/
Enable "Developer mode" in the top right corner
Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted folder
The Trackingplan Omnibug extension should now appear in your extensions list

For Microsoft Edge:

Download the Edge extension file from the link above
Extract the .zip file to a folder on your computer
Open Edge and go to edge://extensions/
Enable "Developer mode" in the left sidebar
Click "Load unpacked" and select the extracted folder
The Trackingplan Omnibug extension should now appear in your extensions list

For Firefox:

Download the Firefox extension file (.zip) from the link above
Extract the .zip file to a folder on your computer
Open Firefox and go to about:debugging
Click "This Firefox" in the left sidebar
Click "Load Temporary Add-on..."
Navigate to the extracted folder and select the manifest.json file
The Trackingplan Omnibug extension should now appear in your add-ons list
